The skateboard thing reminds me of a fic that I did entitled 'Collision Course,' dealing with one John Sheppard attempting to teach one M. Rodney McKay how to use one. ;) lol It begins with:

Carson Beckett's Surefire Recipe for Disaster:
Take one Lieutenant Colonel
Separate to light duty only.
Stir in a generous cup of boredom.
Add one skateboard, one innocent bystander.
Mix well. Dash of mischief to taste.
