And tomorrow we can have our proper inaugural party, ne? ^_- It's so weird watching it in real time, with the bright sun, and having it be 2:00 am here...
So you did catch it live. I thought you would. I did tear up, and choked up, too. Not only had I come to think a day like this would never come in my lifetime, but his message is so much the message I have wanted to hear from our leaders for all my adult life. Today we can HOPE again!
I can finally call the person who resides in the White House "My President." I couldn't say that with dubya, since he was never fairly elected. I've been weeping and howling all day - with happiness! I just love the celebrations in Kenya, Japan, Indonesia, and everywhere else! Thanks for sticking with US - we're finally free!
Even though on work, I was watching it live, too. I also had tear in my eyes. Finally some political leader, and in one of the worlds most important posts, too, that gives us hope.
Yeah, I teared up some as well. We watched it live, streaming online. And truly, his speech was wonderful. God, I really hope he can do even half of what he's speaking of, because, just, wow! ^_^
I *know*! It's so wonderful to be like "look, look that's *my* president!". It's so amazing here in Japan how much attention and focus and excitement there's been surrounding it. Way more than they seem to ever give to their own politicians! ^_-
