For SGA this time…and McShep. Er…what can I say, I lose at being a Gen fan…'course, really, half the time I lose at being a slash fan as well so…er…yeah.

I think it was about the same too, but I'd been resisting the evil pull of Atlantis of a couple of years as I'm a long-time SG1 fan (ya know, what with teh infinite opportunities for shouting at the screen about NOOO STOP RAPING EGYPTOLOGYANTHROPOLOGY ARG!!), and finally I caved. I blame my mum and how much I am in love with Rodney. And yeah. To anyone with even the slightest slash leaning you're not going to be able to remain a gen fan for long in this fandom. It's just too gay. XD

Same here! Into SG-1 waaaay back when, and was avoiding SGA like the plague because, as we had taken to calling it, it's the fandom that ATE fandom. And then one of our friends was like, "oh look, I'll just mail you all three seasons of shiny disks, just TRY resisting, bwahahahahah" and that was that. Well, and Rodney. I mean...RODNEY. Really, how ARE we suppose to resist, so totally NOT fair! ^_-

Yeeeah, I just maxed out at 37 and I'm trying verrry hard to convince myself I don't need to buy more. Really. Really I don't...

I was like that too. I was scared of the SGA fandom, and thought it would eat my soul. And, okay, it did but not in the way I thought it would. And that's kind of ironic really because I think the SGA fandom is quite a bit less scary than the SG1 fandom. I say this based on intimidation in the face of fic. I took quite a lot of moaning at me to write SG1 fic, what with my background and all, but I always refused. But. Not so much with SGA. I cant quite work out why. Anyway, glad we both got dragged into it. It makes me happy.

Also, on a side note, are you still living in Japan? I clearly am very stupid for not knowing this but I was just wondering...

But, I will be in the UK more than I was for the three years I was in Japan last because I am involved in my brother's Big Gay Wedding. It's already taken years off my life, I swear...

What were you going to do at grad school?

The current plan is to get a Masters in Media Studies (specifically representations of gender in modern media, particularly the male sex, on a cross-cultural basis...or more simply: studying fandom is FUN), looking towards a PhD someday. Reaaaally wanna be a professor.

And yeeeah, good luck with 2kyuu. Passed it last year by the skin of my teeth. And then promptly stopped studying. Oops...but...but there was the test and then came Smallville...and then Doctor Who and then SGA...and that was 2007 in a nutshell. Double oops :-p

hey, no probs! i found myself grinning the whole time (both times!) i watched it - i'm a die-hard mcshepper but watching this video actually made me love them more! they're just so cute and adorable, AND you got a few bits from The Scene in there! (from Outcast...), and woobie!rodney!!!!! *sighs*

Yeah, I was particularly having fun with fourth season shots. Mainly cause that's what sealed the deal for me, McShep-wise. Can you believe I was originally not seeing the McShep. Like, at all. First two season (which I admittedly watched in about 3 days, but still...:p )I was like, really, just not seeing where fandom is getting it at all. They don't seem that close...and then third season it was "well, okay, they're totally BFF, but still not seeing the slash. Was sticking to gen fic...and then *bam* fourth season and Dopple and Miller's Crossing and now Quarantine and Outcast and I mean, how can you *NOT* see McShep. I mean, really! ^_- Why hello there, new OTP. ^_-
