My first attempt at an SGA music vid!

So, here we are again. Been close to a year since I posted my last vid (worked on a couple in the interim, just never finished 'em, oops :-p) so this comes in as my third complete vid, whee! For SGA this time…and McShep. Er…what can I say, I lose at being a Gen fan…'course, really, half the time I lose at being a slash fan as well so…er…yeah.

Put it on while reading a McShep fic, apparently not the wisest of ideas because my brain immediately jumped to "wow, this works waaaay to well for John and Rodney." So yeah, blame her and her random music selection ^_-. Or xparrot, who wouldn't stop pestering me to do it after I first happened to mention having the vague inkling.

SUPERB editing! And whoa, this was the first time I'd listened to this song in years! (I used to have the cassette tape the song was on. >.>) You're correct; the song is a wonderful fit for John and Rodney! I can NEVER get enough pining!John, so I'm absolutely enthralled with this video. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: there aren't enough McShep fanvids from John's perspective. You did a brilliant job of showing that perspective off. Love the timing, the composition...everything. Hope to see other SGA vids from you in the future!

I've always loved that song, and I'm just flabbergasted that I hadn't noticed how absolutely perfect that song is for this pairing! WOW!

You did a great job, my only criticism is that some of the clips moved so quickly (not necessarily all of them, when you switched clips to the beat, it was less dizzying, because I had a reference point, if that makes sense). I remember back when I was able to make vids (huge hard drive = best Valentine's present EVER, but it's not installed yet), I had to be careful with that, because the process tends to lengthen the clips in one's mind while putting them together.

I hope I made sense there! I liked how you tied some of the clips in with the lyrics, I love when vidders do that, it means so much more.

I really enjoyed that! My only suggestion would be to slow down some of the cuts in the chorus, because they went almost too fast for me to register what I was seeing. But other than that, a fun and unique choice of songs, and very nice clips to go with. Well done. :D

Hooray! Awesome vid! Sister Hazel are some hometown heroes from back in the day for me, but I had totally forgotten this song...until I heard "it's hard to say what it is I see in you" and I went OMG PERFECT MCSHEP SONG! <--- all that flailing translates to "I love your song choice."

I also hugely love this vid! Lovely moments, and I love the way the scenes are fit so nicely to the music, with all the changes hit beautifully. I keep trying to pick favorite bits, but it's too hard so I'll just say Terrific Vid! Please keep losing at being a gen fan. :)

Oh my god! This is so, so wonderful. ♥ I am a puddle of goo on the floor. The song! I've fallen in love with the song. It fits so well, and you've chosen all the right clips from all four seasons. (That must have taken *ages*!) I love how the scenes fit with the lyrics -- all the Sheppard clips on the "confused" lines immediately come to mind. The fast cuts and your spot-on sense which scene will flow best with the music. Perfect vid!
Plus, you've proven again: McShep, it's canon!

I've only recently anted up the $$ for a high speed Internet connection. When I let the sparkles lure me away from my online Nursing coursework, I follow recs to SGA vids. With so many vids out there, even the vids that come with recs don't necessarily inspire me to send warm fuzzies. I'm happy to say that this vid exceeds my expectations for McKay/Shep vids. Once I spend some quality time re-watching my downloads, this might possibly end up as my favorite McShep.

This is extremely well edited, with the cuts keeping pace with the music, and the selected scenes flowing well together to tell the story outlined by the lyrics.
