Pic: SGA yet again, Mcshep for the win!

So…No Thailand pics as of yet…Er, sorry Mom? Soon, I swear. Really, really I do. But for now, more art. Done nominally for the [livejournal.com profile] mcsmooch comm. Was in the mood for some Rodney/John, non-chibi cuteness…so…voila.

So, I'll admit, I cheated a bit on the laptop… I just hate drawing them :-p. On the other hand, the fact I didn't need a reference pic to do the white board markers kinda worries me. I think I may use them waaaaay too much at work. Also, I realize there's something sorta wonky with the perspective (otherwise known as my arch-nemesis in art). One of these days I'll actually take a real art course and hopefully that'll teach me how to properly combat my foe. But, until that day, guess I'll just have to muddle through, weird angles and all :-p.

As, always, C & C extremely welcome.

ohhh, wow. That's nice. I think it would do you good to perhaps even out their skin - it looks a little wonky, but you've got some really impressive parts here. In fact, if you did better with the skin, I wouldn't have any complains.

Their hair is aMAZing, so is the way you incorporated the sunlight - by god look at their cloths! John's mostly, I'm impressed by the sunlight there and the simplicity of it - just black and the Atlantis badge, which is exactly how it is. Rodney's is all wrinkly and doesn't look as cool, but it so would be in that situation.

The pencil took my forever to notice, but it made my giggle.

The pudding/Jello lid looks really cool too!

Have I mentioned their hair (looks up and ignores). I LOVE the hair. I wish it took up more of the picture, it's just so nice to look at! Rodney's looks intensly realistic and Johns is in, like, THE perfect style of art; I love it!

Hee, thanks! I have fun with hair, it's always been one of the my favorite things to draw since I was young (I'm weird, I know) so glad it worked! ^_^
