Honestly, it's the fact that she prefers "nice" Rodney that bothers me more. I get this really hollow, sad feeling in the pit of my stomach because he seriously doesn't think he can be loved the way he is.
Yes, yes YES. That is probably, hands down, my biggest problem with the McKeller. We've seen no evidence that she really likes Rodney for *Rodney*. And he doesn't believe she could like him for that. I keep shouting "don't worry, Rodney, John loves you for you!". And even if you're not looking at it in a slashy way, just friendship, he still loves hanging out with Rodney, shares humor and hobbies. They're themselves when they're together!
