Re: My part two to your part one...

Yes, 100% I can blame Keller for that decision. Do you know why? Because, when is the one time that a doctor, a medic, out ranks ANYONE? When they declare their patient unfit, mentally or physically, for duty. It's the doctors call. She could march right up to Carter, declare him unfit, and get his ass sent right back to that infirmary. Or he could be defying orders, be up for a courtmartial (as he does joke about) which would put Carter with in her rights to put him under guard. At that point he could still refuse treatment, but he wouldn't be going on no rescue mission, neither. She may not be military, but she is HIS doctor. Furthermore, if the fact that she's not military is a problem, she's on a military ship, in a military infirmary, get the presumably military doctor/nurse/medic to declare him unfit. Carter asks John what would happen if she went down and asked Keller if she "CLEARED" him for duty. It WAS, 100%, Keller's choice to clear him, Keller's choice not to bring the matter to Carter. John asked, and she gave in to him. But the reason he was *begging* was because she had the authority to STOP HIM. He knows it, Carter knows it, and Keller herself knows it. Yeah, Sheppard is BATSHIT for asking, not nice to put that pressure on her. But the choice was still HERS. I blame Sheppard, 100%, for asking. I blame Carter, 100% for not asking. And Keller 100% for allowing it.

And I say the sorta flirting with Rodney, instead of tending to Lorne, because they've been talking to Rodney and Lorne for a bit now, he assured them, several times he was fine, while they all knew Lorne had a broken leg. She's joking with Rodney, who is again insisting he's fine, while in the background Lorne is already rising to the surface. You think the medic should be right there, easing Lorne out, careful of how they're moving the patient with the known injury. She even kinda looks embarrassed when Rodney points it out, and hurries over.
