Another installment of my SGA chibi Comic series

So, it's been a bit, but finally got around to finishing another McShep Chibi comic. Haven't done much art recently, feels good to be getting back to it!

In other news, I'm reading House of Many Ways, the new sequel to Diana Wynne Jones's Howl's Moving Castle. Don't love it as much as Howl's (which would be a very hard thing to do, really, considering my level of adoration for that book ^_-) but it's always great to see all the characters again. I'm tickled that it's been 18 years since she wrote the last one, but in book time it's been less then two! ^_^

So, tried something a little bit different with this one. I had some free time at work, so decided to ink it. Only then it called out for some color/shading, but a full job takes waaaay too long, so, um...I compromised? Took longer than usual but still much faster than full color. Hope it works! ^_^

Okay, I admit it, I have a thing for the kid!fics. I can't help it!

sheafrotherdon's Iowa 'verse was one of the very first McShep stories I read, and well, what with it's cuteness beyond words, it left a lasting impression! ^_-

Ah, the inevitable 'portable womb'. Though I really do think that the two of them trying to raise a kid would be a serious comedy of errors. Rodney would have a schedule and a plan and be thrown when the kid varied from it and John would be stuck when the slouchy charm thing didn't work *laughs*

Still, they do look so cute. Especially Rodney with the data pad teach Torren.

The range of expressions on John's face in these frames is quite amazing, from the infatuation of the first frame to the unhappiness-turned-content in the last two. Great fun! The inking and shading look great. As always, I envy your ability to render fabric; even your cartoon blanket drapes very nicely--with the valley folding between them in the fourth frame, accentuating the divide between them. Very sweet piece. Add me to the list of folks who want to see the kid. ^__~
