gnine | Music vidding, MUNCLE style

Hm, apparently spring really is my time to vid. It's weird, the vids I've started any other time never seem to get finished...:-p

So, the brief story behind this goofy little MUNCLE vid. There we were, on the bus back from Ha Long Bay and I'm happily drowning myself in music, trying very hard to be blissfully unaware of how much time our bus spent occupying the oncoming lane of traffic, when

xparrot leans over, all excited, with the 'best' (or was that 'worst') idea for an Illya music vid. "There's gayness and Russian lyrics, what could be more perfect?!"

So of course, once the idea was in my head (and the song playing on repeat for most of the drive back to Hanoi), the rest was unavoidable, really...Apologies in advance to my father (whom my mother will no doubt share this with), for raping his childhood. Blame neechan, it's entirely her fault! ^_-

...okay, not really the end. Of course I was cackling madly all the way through, and my favorite part is still the eyebrow + "no". Also I was very proud of myself to be able to identify several scenes throughout! :D In conclusion, A+++ WOULD WATCH AGAIN.

Fabulous vid! I loved and downloaded and have watched a ridiculous number of times. Terrific work and I sure do hope that the floppy blond hair and trim waist continue to inspire you for a long time to come.

(P.S. what video editor do you use, and how did you achieve the stop motion effect?)

For vidding, I use Adobe Premier, which is a huge memory drain but a ridiculously powerful program that I love to pieces. In premier, it's easy to control the speed of the clips very easily, which is how I do the stop motion thing.

I am slowly being seduced into MUNCLE, and honestly, I think it helped when I mentioned it around my dad; I said "and apparently they're really gay," he agreed vehemently. If even people who've never *heard* of slashgoggles see the gay, then what reason could there be for me *not* to watch it?

Plus, then I get to appreciate fannish things like this from you and xparrot again... :)

Yeah, was...just a little over a year ago now, while I was still living in Japan.

xparrot and I took quite a few trips about Asia during that time, though they were all short. We were only in Vietnam three days/two nights...But I loved it, especially Ha Long Bay. I've been a lot of places in the world but few have blown me away quite like that did! Want to go back some day...
