A little muncle fan art I've been working on...
To paraphrase
utopiantrunks, when she posted her most recent fabulous fanart, Yay photoshop! It can just be so much fun playing around with it, and I always miss it when I go a while without doing so. And thus, in that vein, I did a muncle fan art in my detailed style (which always takes *copious* amounts of time in photoshop. Especially when the layer count gets high enough that doing anything takes the computer a few seconds...or *minutes* to process! :-p)
So, for my next fan art offering, as well as a little blatant h/c indulging (...I really can't help myself when it comes to h/c ^_-):

As always, C & C very much welcome and appreciated!

My favorite guh factors: Illya's hair between Napoleon's fingers, Napoleon's hand resting on IK's head (possessive? caring? all of the above?) and lovely angst.
Excellent work!

Okay, yeah, I was maybe having a bit of fun with the bloody knuckles/bruises, but...mmm...h/c...can't help it! ^_-

I think one of my favorite things about your artwork is that you put time and energy into the environment in which your characters rest. First and foremost that comes to mind is your pool kiss drawing. Though also, the lex/supes pic in an onsen is lovely as well. The environment to a picture is so often over looked, but to me it does wonders to creating a reality that the picture is about. A lot of the comics, animation, and games that I enjoy put special emphasis on developing and portraying the world just as much as the characters in it. (Ico/Shadow of the Colossus, Get Backers manga, anything by Studio Ghibli).
So, yes, a critique about boxes sounds unexciting, but it's very exciting for me. ^_^

LOL. Thanks, though, seriously, because I totally get it. Truth be told, as much as I do love doing characters, it's often the backgrounds/setting that I picture first when starting a piece. I have a lot of fun with them and so, as you say, it might sound "unexciting" but I really do appreciate it! Backgrounds are exciting to me as well ^_-
Glad you like, *huggles*

I love Napoleon's hands in Illya's hair, the way Illya is lying so helpless - plus the style of the characters is excellent. Very nicely done, m'dear. Keep up the good work!

Also, your icon is great!

I wrote a drabble in response

"trusting Napoleon, using his thigh as a pillow..."
And I really like this drabble. Love this phrase: "trusting Napoleon, using his thigh as a pillow". It was so sweet the way you descibed it.

Both their mouths are so amazing. And I love Napoleon's nose! And Napoleon's whole face, really, is a really impressive likeness. And his hair! I want to run my fingers through it...
Poor, hurt Illya... I love his expression. The bruise on his cheek looks really realistic and painful. >_<
And I love the THRUSH stamp on all the boxes!

...Yeah, I was being mean to poor Illya...but...but he looks so adorable all roughed up and floppy on Napoleon's lap, ne? ^_-
So glad you like it, *big big huggles*
