gnine | Utter randomness...about cute baby dragons, squee!

Anyway, I keep MEANING to post about Gion matsuri and all that craziness, but to do so I wanna also post pics and I just haven't gotten around to sorting through all of them and such and then resizing them and uploading them and er...let's face it, I'm LAZY!

Instead, I'm going to go into utter squee mode about the latest manga series I'm reading, コーセルテルの竜術士物語.

spacealien_vamp recommended it to me months ago, but because the original magazine it was published in went defunct, I had a devil of a time finding the first four volumes, but I finally did and OMG SO CUTE! I mean...BABY DRAGONS!!...well, dragons that for the most part look like people (in permanent chibi form) plus cute pointy ears, and horns and tails and one of them always has adorable little black wings and a sweet little ~~uke~~bishonen (he'll be an uke once his seme grows up cause I mean maybe it's terrible of me but I can't help OTPing him with said black-winged, oh so grumpy but too cute little shadow dragon who may only be a foot tall now but is so TOTALLY gonna top) who's taking care of seven of the little dragons and er...lots of cute funny wacky hijinks ensue. Really, it's just too cute for words. Course the latest volumes are published by ZeroSum which means I've now entered no-furigana territory which is making the reading a bit slower and yet still so worth it cause, yes, it really is just. that. cute!

I promise, I'll have a more relevant post soon, I swear, I just had to gush, gomen...

Also, as an extra random side-note, seeing funny movies in Japan is just CREEPY. I mean, they don't laugh, they don't make a f**king SOUND! We're talking the newest Pirates movie, second day it's out, the theater is sold out, and even the climax fight, I mean, the WHEEL stuff, not a SOUND, a peep. Their expressions don't even change. The only laughter we heard was the group of six gaijin I was with and the few other gaijin dispersed throughout the theater. I mean...just BIZARRE!

Yay, you've caught the Corseltel bug! I still haven't gotten past the first volume (need to pick it up at bedtime), but eee, they are so cute.

Really really? Oh my, sooooo gonna need to find that table! And yeah, I have an urge to make some Corseltel dj myself...I mean, they're all just SO DAMN CUTE...(and slashable in Naata and Mashel's case...) ^_^

Yup, I keep meaning to do a post to my flist and get a list of everyone who's going (would love to do a big get together, there seems to be quite a few of us gaijin fangals planning on attending...)but, I'm lazy and keep forgetting :-P

I propose we have a karaoke party. Or we could just sit around and look at our ~~porn~~ culturally enriching amature artwork. Are you getting a hotel room, or staying with friends, or what?

We're staying at a cheap ryoukan...somewhere, not even exactly positive, others arranged the details so...:-p

We can always also maybe get together in Kyoto some time, I have two weeks vacation starting on Sat. so I'll be extra free, I bet I could make it out to see you both in Moriyama even...(that is where you'll be, yes?)

I won't be in Moriyama until after Comiket, though. We'll be in Hokkaido before then. Still, maybe we can get together on your day off or something?

I was shocked when I saw the new Pirates...because someone in my theater actually laughed! (During the fruit-kebob scene.)

As I recall, the worst time I had was when I went to see Spiderman 2 with

mereflair, because we were sitting there snickering, trying to keep quiet because the rest of the theater was so dead silent. It was painful.

I know you're at Comiket right now (having fun? :D), but! I have nowhere else to squeal! Did you hear about this?
