Those numbering schemes make my head spin. Mm, but ever-expanding series are good (as long as they *do* get resolution, as you said)... both for the readers and the authors. *drools over the thought of multi-book publishing deals* ... *wipes mouth on sleeve* Gotta be alone, now...
