Okay, on first impression, I'd say B is implying that A has lost C's love. From that bit, I had assumed that C and A were together at some point, A handled it badly, and as a result lost C.
In terms of A and B's relationship, that's trickier...I think that maybe they were best friends at one point, and had a very intense friendship. Then C came along, and their feelings toward C created a rift in their friendship.
