Been awhile...

just been very very busy, have had quite a few people visiting and such, which has been terribly fun but did not leave so much internet time. And well...as we all know, I *suck* when it comes to updating...
I mean, I haven't even gotten on to squee about Naomi Novik's Temeraire books, of which I'm totally hopelessly in love with! A must read, truly! Or Lynn Flewelling's Oracle Queen, of which I've been waiting three years for and was quite an excellent end to the trilogy...and she's writing more Alec and Seregil books next!!!!!!!!! OMG so SO happy about that one! *boing boing*
Had both the 'rents and then Elysaar, was great to see them all! (Especially Elysaar, cause I could evilly divert her from what she should be writing to give me a nice wonderful helping of h/c! Bwhahaha! THANK YOU! Had such a blast!) Was also fun taking the 'rents around, and great to see them after 8 months, but was exhausting! We went so many places! But now have at last been to Kyushu, was really pretty; Nagasaki was so very different from any other city I've yet to go to in Japan, and Uzen was spectacular! (Even if I did get a bad enough sunburn that the marks still remain over a month later...oops)
Also, wanted to share a pic that I recently did for the story neechan wrote for
bb_shousetsu, called "The Lion and the Paladin." Great story, worth reading...And, if you know anything about Shousetsu BB, you can possibly guess, but well, *WARNING*,
C&C appreciated...

Date: 2006-07-09 10:40 am (UTC)The one thing that sticks out for me is that the claws on the right hand seem to be at odd angles relative to the fingers. The ones on the left foot are great, and they give a good impression of the foot pressing against the ground, but the right hand seems like the claws are about to snap off.

Date: 2006-07-10 02:31 am (UTC)And the third book in L.F.'s Bone Doll trilogy is out? Knew it was due soon, but how'd I miss it arriving? Guess I need to stop in to Borders tomorrow... or soon anyway. Am finally getting to "Black Powder War" this week. Temeraire and Lawrence are definitly fun.
Love you!

Date: 2006-07-19 03:16 am (UTC)Also I'm finally reading Temeraire. Just finished the first one on the plane and ♥ it very much. (But it's kind of surreal having read all of her Master & Commander fic. Laurence is doomed to look suspiciously similar to Russell Crowe as Aubrey in my head.)
